According to the spokesperson for the police in Lagos State, DSP Ngozi Braide, said Cpl. Muhammed Nasir had been detained for alleged assault on a woman.
according to DSP Ngozi, the attention of the command was drawn to the incident through a video clip posted on the internet via the YouTube.
After viewing the video, the Commissioner of Police swiftly set up a team and directed the arrest of Nasir, a police corporal with Force Number 229057.
She further stated that the police officer is in police custody as investigation has commenced and the outcome will be made public.
The commissioner of police has hereby assured Lagosians that thorough investigation will be conducted as we have the responsibility to protect the life of every citizen.
